Modern society has created a situation where the human nervous system lives in a world of near-constant stimulation. Rarely does our brain and body have the opportunity to relax and disconnect from all this stimulation.
As a result, chronic physical and mental health conditions have become ubiquitous, with over a quarter of the population suffering from pain, anxiety, depression, and other ailments exacerbated by stress.
At Float Tank Barrie we provide a service known as Floatation-REST (Reduced Environmental Stimulation Therapy). A new emerging technology that appears to powerfully counter the effects of stress in modern life.
We offer 60-120min float sessions inside one of our 5 private Float rooms - each with a area to change, shower and float inside a Oasis Relaxation System Float Tank. We also have a vanity and tea lounge included with your float!
Room 3 Float Tank
We use Oasis Relaxation System Floatation Tanks. They have been manufacturing float tanks for 30 years – wow!
The tank features a powerful UV filtration system and an audio system which allows us to gently bring you out of your float with some tranquil music
Room 3 Shower
Each room has its own private shower for both pre and post floating.
We provide everything you need (towels, robes, earplugs, body wash/shampoo, etc.)
Room 4 Float Tank (Door Open)
You’re always in control of your environment. You can also always leave the door wide open or propped open with a pool noodle or face cloth for as long as you like.
Once you close the door there will be no difference between opening or closing your eyes, therefore being in the tanks is more like floating in open space rather than being shut in a box.
Even people with ext
Inside the Float Tank
The float tank is a spacious environment (8' Long x 4' Wide x 4' High) where you can be free from the daily overload of external stimulation. There is no gravity, touch, light, or sound.
Room 5
Room 5 at Float Tank Barrie is wheelchair accessible. There is a pull out seat and the shower head removable.
There are also extra grab bars on the inside of the tank in room 5.
While the room is accessible there is still a 2' step into the tank .
We often recommend that pregnant women or anyone who has any mobility issues book in room 5
